National laboratory summer programs
Explore summer student internship and visiting faculty scholar programs with UC-affiliated national laboratories.
Opportunity
The UCGHI Planetary Health Center of Expertise (PHCOE) partners with Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) on research and training to address critical issues affecting the health of humans, animals, and our shared environments. The LLNL and LBNL are currently accepting applications for summer student internship and visiting faculty scholar programs, which provide UC students and faculty with opportunities to work with the national laboratories on a variety of science, computing, and engineering projects. Deadlines vary by program and can be found on the websites. The applications for several of these programs are due in January, including the Summer Undergraduate Laboratory Internship and Visiting Faculty Program (Deadline: January 12, 2018) and the Lawrence Livermore National Lab Computational Chemistry and Materials Science Summer Institute for graduate students (Deadline January 31, 2018).
